David works as a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Royal Bolton Hospital. His ophthalmic training was undertaken at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, following which he undertook a glaucoma fellowship. David graduated from St. Andrews / Manchester Medical School in 2000.

In addition to his clinical work, David also works as a Chief Clinical Information Officer for Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.

David is an active contributor to the OpenEyes Electronic Patient Record, as a member of the Committee and Design Authority.
